During the PML-N rally at Grassy Ground, Mingora on Wednesday, the stage reserved for 60 media men gave way under excessive load injuring 7 journalists. The injured journalists included Fayaz Zafar, Sayed Shahab ud Din, Ghafor Khan Adil, Shah Asad Ali, Zubair Ali and Ubaid Ullah Abid. They were rushed to the Saidu Teaching Hospital where they were given medical aid before discharging them.
“We left the stage as a protest after hundreds of supporters climbed over to it; however, we resumed our seats after the ASP City’s assurance. Before long the stage gave way under excessive load injuring seven of us,” one of the injured journalists said.
