Army reinstates check posts in District Swat including Mingora city

To the great dismay of the people of Swat, the Pak Army has reinstated checkpoints across the District Swat including Mingora city. According to the Security Forces, the aim behind re-establishing the check posts at various points on the GT road and at other squares in the Mingora city is to stop militants’ infiltration in Swat.

Due to the restoration of the check posts, the locals and the tourists are facing numerous problems in transportation.
It is relevant to note here that the Security Forces removed all the Army check posts earlier this year.
The civil society has appealed to the GOC, Maj Gen Ghulam Qamar to issue directives regarding the instant removal of the check posts to ease the trouble of both the locals and the tourists.
