A two-day heavy dose of black out to Shamozai after Thursday’s protest against load shedding

As a reaction to Thursday’s hugest ever demonstration of the locals of Shamozai on the GT road at Landakay for six hours against 20 to 22 hours load shedding and 40 to 50 low voltage, the Pesco kept power supply to all the areas of the Union Council disconnected on Friday. No sooner the demonstrators had dispersed on Thursday after the seemingly successful negotiations with the tehsil administration than the Pesco disconnected the power to the area till Friday.
“We are compelled to do Sehr and Aftar in the pitch of dark with no fans,” informed one Mustafa Kamal of Shamozai.
When contacted, the person on phone from Pesco showed complete ignorance of the situation and said that there were no officials present in the office.
