Torrential rains with heavy winds play havoc in Swat

Torrential rains along with heavy winds hit Swat on Thursday paralyzing power and communication system of the district. The heavy winds also uprooted trees in various parts of the valley. Moreover, many transformers were fused due to the heavy rains depriving many areas of electricity. However, the people took a sigh of relief with the rains because, like the entire country, the Swat was under a spell of sweltering heat.
The Met forecasted more rains for Swat district.
