House of Ghaffor Khan Adil, a senior journalist from Swat, was robbed on Monday by a begging young woman in the broad day light. “A young woman who was wearing a veil entered our house at 11 am when the women of the house were busy in cleaning the house. While leaving, she picked a purse hung to a peg which contained jewelry, cash for the Eid shopping and a mobile set,” informed Adil.
“We instantly informed the police who cordoning off the area started a thorough search for the woman. The police was accompanied by the lady constables. However, there is not a clue yet,” Ghaffor Khan Adil added.
The police extended the circle of investigation, the police informed.
It is relevant to say that with the advent of Ramadan, there is an unusual rise in the number of non-local beggars in Swat causing an increase in the crime rate in the valley.
